Founded in 1996, The IMS Company is comprised of three specialized business units--IMS Engineering, IMS Entertainment and IMS Flight Deck.

The IMS Engineering group's core business is the provision of advanced systems, software and technology to support the military, defense, avionics, in-flight entertainment, guidance navigation and control, software-defined radios, wireless, distributed communication, and networking sectors.

The IMS Entertainment group provides entertainment and communications solutions for the air and ground transportation industries--serving planes, trains and automobiles as the market leader in portable entertainment, wireless communications and content management services. 

IMS Flight Deck is a leading provider of Electronic Flight Bay solutions and software applications to commercial airlines, corporate aviation, air cargo, general aviation and aircraft fleet operators worldwide.

In 2008, The IMS Company was named the 14th fastest-growing privately held company in technology-heavy Orange County, California by the Orange County Business Journal--a dramatic rise from their 2007 ranking of 24th.
